Edit media
deckd supports a range of media types for dynamic content creation, including images, videos, charts, and HTML embeds. You can easily replace media within layouts while preserving design integrity.
Note: Not all media assets are editable. If a media element hasn’t been marked as replaceable in Figma (named media), it can only be updated by your designer. Learn more
Swap media
Click on any editable media asset in your layout to open the media swap modal. You can then select a replacement from your media library.
Images, videos and HTML embeds
- Hover over a media item in the library to preview it live in the layout.
- Click to instantly replace the current media and auto-save the change.
- Use the reset option in the bottom-right of the modal to revert to the original placeholder.
Media controls
All images and videos are set to cover by default. You can manually adjust the visible frame position using media positioning controls
Video Settings
For video assets, editors can toggle:
- Autoplay
- Loop
- Mute
- Display of playback controls on hover
Charts
When inserting a chart, it will automatically replace the currently selected media in the layout. Charts are generated based on the values in your data table and the selected chart type.
Table guidelines
- Row 1: Use for data set titles
- Column A: Use for category labels (e.g. Q1, Q2, etc.)
Chart styling
Charts can be globally styled through the charts library, including:
- Font style
- Color palette
- Corner radius
- Grid and line styling
